Picture a vintage poster dealer twenty years into the trade. Eight thousand sheets scanned, a few thousand more in flat files that never quite got catalogued. A collector writes in. She’s after the one with the big red sun going down behind a liner, Thirties probably, maybe Italian. Or anything like it. Bigger, if there is one. He knows the poster she means. He’s sure he’s had it through his hands.
